This unique system, which has been developed and patented by DSI, provides integrated, precise measuring to ensure the correct core temperature of whatever is being processed by your DSI vertical plate freezers. By using not only samples but constant measuring, freezing periods are reduced to only what it actually required for that particular product, thereby eliminating excess freezing, unnecessary energy consumption and inefficient procedures.
Our very popular and widely used DSI CorePoint kit can be mounted in all our vertical plate freezers as a way to ensure individual treatment of the products. As an example, the fat and water contents of any given fish product vary, and these variations lead to a need for shorter or longer freezing times. By measuring the core temperature of the product with DSI CorePoint, you can determine the exact freezing time needed and save both time, energy and money. In addition, product quality is maintained at an optimal level due to proper and suitable treatment.
The system consists of a PT100 thermo sensor mounted in a specially designed probe that appears from a hole in one of the lifting arms. Only one kit is needed for each freezer.

This system has been developed for precise measuring of the core temperature of all food, liquids and other fluids, and it easily mounted inside our vertical freezers to guarantee a precise core temperature.
The DSI CorePoint system provides you with full control of the freezing time for each freezer, regardless of different temperatures within the raw products. When opening the vertical plate freezer and lifting out the frozen blocks, the probe slides out easily and is ready for another job.
DSI CorePoint must be connected to a central control system or to a specially designed control box on each plate freezer with a DSI CorePoint temperature measuring system.
The control box is made of high-quality stainless steel and is IP65-sealed. An indication lamp shows you when the preset core temperature has been reached. This indication lamp can be replaced by an alarm.
The system is patented under Patent No. PA 2009 00731 and has been tested at various production sites.
